Wesley Hamilton is the founder of Disabled But Not Really, a nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, MO. Wesley Hamilton’s life was changed by gun violence which caused a spinal cord injury. Wesley founded Disabled But Not Really @disabledbutnotreally to empower other people with disabilities and to instill a “physically limitless mindset” for “courage, confidence, and competence.”
Play it Forward: Charity Basketball Event
On Saturday Sept 14th, 2019 Made Mobb & Local Legends will present the 2nd Annual “Play it Forward” charity basketball game whereas 100% of the proceeds will be converted to school supplies and donated to students in the HMC1 School District. The event will take place at the Ruskin 9th Grade Center (Formerly Hickman High School) from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. The game will feature players that are local business owners from whom are also alumni of Hickman and Ruskin High School as well as faculty and staff.
Day of Event
12pm: Doors open whereas the facility will host tables for college recruiters, local nonprofits, and other beneficial resources for the students and their families.
1pm: The Game will commence. Drill teams and a drum line will be the half time entertainment.
2pm: Program hosts will divert attention back to the college recruiters, local nonprofits, and other beneficial resources for the students and their families.

In addition, Local Legends Gaming will be providing an arcade area to offer additional entertainment. Made Urban Apparel will be releasing an exclusive “South KC” capsule whereas the proceeds will 100% benefit South KC and the HMCI school district.

The Parking Lot will also feature many exciting amenities such as Game Trucks, Food Trucks, Bounce Houses, & Fire Trucks.
How you can help
Specifically, anything from the HMC1 school supply list or non-perishable food items we can donate to the families. However, we understand for some monetary donations are easier. We will accept them as well and convert back into school supplies.
